Corners Gallery owner Ariel Bullion Ecklund has a diverse and fluent background in the art and framing world. She earned a BFA in Art Photography and a Master of Arts degree in Museum Studies. Following her training, Ariel gained valuable experience working in book and paper conservation, as a freelance photographer, and with a wide range of collections in numerous museums. She enjoys collaborating on projects with her husband, a custom cabinet maker, and she is indebted to her mother, an artist, who first sparked her interest in the arts.

Ariel purchased Corners Gallery from the previous owners in 2010. ┬áSince then, the business has gone through physical transformation- with the addition of exhibition space as well as the renovation of the existing location. Corners Gallery strives to better the community by supporting other local organizations and events such as AIDS Ride for Life, Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, Cayuga Heights PTA, CAP, the Learning Web, Finger Lakes Running Club, Ithaca Fine Arts Boosters, Ithaca League of Women Rollers, Ithaca Triathlon Club, the Learning Web, the Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts, Women Swimmin’ for Hospicare, and many others.

During her downtime, Ariel enjoys making art, being active on the many trails in Ithaca, and spending time with her family.
